Editor,
After reading the Daily Lobo yesterday, I was reminded of a world leader whose ideals and philosophies are of great pertinence to our world's affairs.
In his first inaugural address, this leader claimed his goal was "to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation." As our own president stated as well, this leader also claimed, "God is on our side. Our nation is being harmed by evil-doers." Take your pick: terrorists or Jews. Either way, it's a specific ethnicity that both leaders were targeting.
How are these countries so different - because America encourages democracy? Apparently not, because if you have any other view than a right conservative view yours are not "based in fact." That does not sound like a very democratic view.
Slamming any sort of media that is not part of any major network also does not sound very democratic. "Free market place of ideas" incidentally, to assume that alternative media organizations have something to gain from the stories they report is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of.
What could they possibly have to gain with no major corporation, financial backing or widespread popularity?

Obviously, they wish to spread government hating propaganda to all 20 people that hear this form of media.
But, never mind, the right is right - it's in the name. Corporations do not oppress people. Everyone in America is on an equal playing field. Military spending is the only moral choice. Race is not an issue anymore. These are the facts. Don't try to argue with me, or you are not supporting democracy.
