LETTER: Reader missed the point of Berthold's funding column

OK, when I got past all the Christian proselytizing in Cali D. Garcia's letter in the Daily Lobo regarding Berthold's "axe that he grinds," I could understand the point but wonder if Garcia might be missing the point of Berthold's column.

A University should be in the business of higher education and not be sinking exorbitant amounts of money to pay off coaches or funneling a disproportionate amount of money for sports - all the while raising tuition and failing to keep up with faculty pay.

Think about Cali, being a taxpayer, it's all about you.
