Freshman catcher Todd Stroud of the baseball team and senior Monique Harris of the track and field team are the New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week.
Harris won the long jump in her first outdoor home meet of the season in the Modrall Sperling Lobo Open this weekend. Harris, the defending Mountain West Conference indoor triple jump champion, had a leap of 19-feet, 5.50-inches to capture first place.
Stroud had an impressive performance at the plate during the weekend against the Air Force Academy. He went six-of-12 from the plate, hitting two home runs, scoring six runs and contributing five runs batted in. He also hit for the cycle Saturday in the Lobos' 19-9 victory. Stroud hit a single, double, triple and a home run in five-at-bats.
