Editor,
I don't believe this is a war on terrorism. It can be described as retaliation for terrorist acts that have been a long time coming.
So, who are we fighting anyway? We are fighting a war against ourselves.
To start from the beginning, American history contains a common theme: sticking our nose in other countries' business. As self-appointed mediators to the world we have thrown our pro-Christian biased "values" at combating communism, socialism and any anti-Judeo Christian cultures.
Some examples include the Vietnam War, the Cold War and the Persian Gulf War, not to mention the enormous amount of tax dollars being paid "under the table" to countries fighting for our economic interests. In our most recent attempt, we have given arms to Israelites for the safekeeping of the Christian holy lands.
You would think that maybe America has made more enemies than allies due to our infamous track record, which might lead any sound mind to inquire motives for the destruction of the twin towers, our symbols of American capitalism and commercialism.

We are not fighting terrorism. We are merely defending our self-righteous actions that have inflicted pain and distraught to those who fall in our path of sanctimony.
