Editor,
To Ms. Shannon Flock and others of her ilk who feel that the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks were retaliation because we "stick our nose into other countries' business," may I gently remind you that our own country was assisted in its foundation because other European countries, notably France, felt it appropriate to join our fight. All nations will interfere in the business of other nations, either gently or by force, whenever they feel it is in their interest.
I also found it very hypocritical of Ms. Flock to accuse the United States of sanctimony given the tone of her letter. I would hope that at some point she starts checking the log in her own eye first.
