Editor,
I would like to share with you something that happened to me. I was walking around the campus, heading to the shuttle bus and walked through the grass. I got on the bus and realized that I had a leaf stuck to my shoe.
I went to pick it off, and I saw that it was attached with a big pile of dog poop! I was disgusted.
Back at my car I tried to wipe off the dog poop, but alas, it would not all come off. I had to come home and scrub the bottom of my shoe.
I was hoping to let everyone know that they need to clean up after their dogs. It doesn't seem like a big deal until you step in dog poop. Carry a small plastic bag, scoop up the poop and dispose of it in the nearest trash can. There are also many products made for scooping dog poop.
Please let people with dogs know cleaning up their dog's droppings is important because it will lead to a much cleaner - and safer for your shoes - campus!
