Since you have made the effort to look at the Daily Lobo's opinion page, please don't stop here. You obviously care about what's going on around you.
If you are an undergraduate student, take that energy and direct it toward getting yourself to the nearest polling place and voting. If you aren't eligible to cast a ballot, tell anyone who is and crosses your path today to vote.
Why? Why vote in an election that involves candidates you may not know or issues you don't care about?
Because you should.
Because this is your University, the people you elect decide how your money is spent and if you don't, you really don't have much room to complain about life at UNM.

Yes, it does. It does because it is supposed to represent students. It does because as much as the majority of students distance themselves from ASUNM, the student government is a reflection on all of us.
Knock the socks off of 24 Senate candidates today by asking for ideas instead of candy outside polling places. Ask them how they plan to represent you. Tell them how you really feel.
Then, don't vote for what they tell you or I tell you is right - vote for what you believe in.
Above all, just vote.
