Grear scored 39 points on 17-of-21 shooting and grabbed 21 rebounds in two Lobo victories this week. She recorded her first double-double of the year Nov. 20 in an 80-74 victory against intra-state rival New Mexico State University when she poured in 16 points and corralled 13 rebounds.
Grear followed that performance with a career-high 23 points in the Lobos 98-45 victory Friday against the University of Texas at El Paso.
The UNM football team recorded its first winning season in four years with a 53-0 trouncing of New Mexico State at home.
The Lobos ran for a season-high 350 yards and the defense put together its first shutout since 1984.
The Lobos also produced their largest margin of victory since 1960. UNM ended the season 6-5.
