Arts in Brief

Three events during the week of Nov. 28 through Dec. 2 comprise the last leg of the Words Afire festival - a theatrical showcase of student's work.

"Windchill," a comedy-drama by Howie Kaibel will be performed at Theatre X. "Windchill" centers around a family hashing out a haunting past within the confines of an ice fishing house in Minnesota.

"33 on 66," a full-length play by Susan Ericson, will play at the Riverside Theater. The piece features almost three dozen short plays strung together at a breakneck pace in a frenzy of theater action.

And over at the Outpost Performance Space, several writing students will work with the Riverside Theater's Joe Pesce to record "Green Chile Stew," a live radio comedy show that promises to pull out all the stops, delivering cold irony and hot political humor.
