UNM community invited to participate in tonight's vigil

My name is Amanda Ophelia Gonzales, and I am a freshmen here at UNM. I am writing this letter because I would like to encourage people to come to the UNM Bookstore today at 7 p.m. and participate in a candlelight vigil.

I am asking the Omega Delta Phi, Lambda Theta Phi, Lambda Theta Alpha, any other fraternity or sorority, PETALS, student organizations, students, staff and faculty to come and participate. Please, if anybody does decide to come, try to bring a candle and, if you can, a white ribbon pinned to your shirt.

I will be trying to get someone to donate these items but there are no guarantees that I will get them. It is important that we all stick together in this time of tragedy. Thank you.
