Editor,
In light of the recent national events, the Public Relations Student Society of America, will be conducting a "Letters of Hope" campaign.
We ask that anyone who would like to fill out "A Letter of Hope" do so. These do not need to be long; something simple and heartfelt is all that we are looking for.
These cards will be sent to the Red Cross, firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses and others who have been touched by the recent tragedy in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
We will be out at the Duck Pond today from noon until 4:30 p.m. for anyone who would like to join us in sending our prayers and words of encouragement to those most touched by this tragedy.
We would like to see as many people as possible participate in the "Letters of Hope" campaign. We are not asking for anything but a few minutes. It is our hope that these letters bring a little hope to the people back east and, while they will not solve the problems that still face the nation, it is a small step to try to heal some of the damage that has been done.
