Editor,
Who is tired of paying for an education and getting left or right wing propaganda?
I feel that instructors imposing their opinions during class time is a topic that needs to be addressed. When a professor presents a strongly opinioned point of view, it causes me to seriously question the remaining portion of the instruction.
Is it really factual or solely opinion?
It is not only unprofessional but also morally wrong. Public institutions are not the place for lopsided lectures.
When a professor presents information, it is assumed to be factual.

Unfortunately, not enough people critically analyze the information presented to them.
I personally know students that are apprehensive about writing papers for fear that the professor might grade against them because of the ideology they hold.
I intimately value the views of educated and experienced instructors. So I seek them during office hours, or outside the classroom, where it can be discussed and not presented with one party in a position of authority over another.
I wouldn't even mind if the instructor said, "I am going to rant now. You can leave if you want." Please, instructors say what it is.
Thanks and God Bless us all.
