LETTER: Berthold's remark crosses line, constitutes seditionist speech

Richard Berthold has crossed over the line from mildly amusing, vaguely annoying to outright seditionist.

His statement, that anyone who can blow up the Pentagon has his vote, jumps with both feet into the category of advocating the violent overthrow of the U.S. government.

I do not hold the University responsible for such behavior, unless it fails to ask for and accept his resignation at the earliest opportunity.

An apology is not sufficient, however moving and heartfelt it seems.

If you wish to make amends, Mr. Berthold, resign!

I intend to forward this incident to the U.S attorney for investigation and possible prosecution under anti-sedition laws.
