Sophomore guard Marlon Parmer of the UNM men's basketball team scored 18 points on five-of-10 shooting, and was six-of-eight from the free-throw line against Brigham Young University Thursday in a 72-67 UNM loss.
Saturday, in a 66-61 UNM loss to the University of Utah, Parmer scored a career-high 24 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out seven assists.
Jordan Adams, a sophomore center for the women's basketball team, scored 15 points against the 13th-ranked University of Utah in a 64-59 loss. Adams shot four-of-eight from the field and hit all six of her free-throw attempts. She also blocked five shots, bringing her career total to 146. She is now the top shot blocker in UNM history, placing Yvonne McKinnon.
